Trent heads out on 2010 Iditarod!
Trent is off on the "Last Great Race on Earth". This is Trent's friend Tim, I've borrowed the blog pen for Trent while he is gone.
A couple of us went up to the start to see Trent off, then rushed 20 miles up the Yentna River to watch Trent and the other mushers come by. Picture of the sled the class made is shown being loaded off the rig, hope it's ready to go the 1,000 miles! There are a couple of musher pix here to enjoy. Trent started with bib number #60 so we had to wait a bit for him to come by. He stopped for a moment, we snapped a quick pick, and he headed off in to the sunset for Nome. As I post this, I see on the Iditarod site GPS tracker that Trent is resting at the Rhon checkpoint 160 miles in to the race. I suspect our trip back to Ketchum was much easier.
